I’m a lifelong artist with a decades-long detour running an ad agency. Now I create hand-built ceramic dishes, bowls and plates in playful Polynesian colors, reflecting the warmth and easy elegance of the islands.

My patterns draw from Matisse’s paper cutouts that he produced after he visited French Polynesia late in life. When I work with clay, I think back to sitting on Waikiki beach, peach cocktail in hand, watching my husband surf perfect rolling waves. In those moments, I let go of all anxiety. These dishes are a canvas for capturing that sense of pure relaxation and contentment.
